Engaging with the bigger picture.

Our supporters in learning come from across a variety of sectors including tertiary education, the business sector and government, encouraging students to broaden their learning horizons beyond the school gates and to engage with the bigger picture. Our relationships have been forged with leading names in science and technology, construction, law, finance, business, entrepreneurship, education, sport and the arts.

Taronga Education Partnership

Meeting a pair of friendly echidnas and feeding a hungry kangaroo were all part of the job when Loreto Kirribilli Principal, Dr Nicole Archard, visited Taronga Zoo earlier this year to cement an inspiring new learning partnership focused on conservation, real-world learning and student action.

The formal agreement makes Loreto Kirribilli an official Education Partner of Taronga Conservation Society Australia, giving students and staff access to a wide range of curriculum-aligned and extra-curricular opportunities. These will include direct engagement with Taronga scientists and conservation experts, habitat classroom experiences and guided programs at the zoo, as well as collaborative research projects exploring real environmental challenges.

Through these experiences, students will deepen their understanding of conservation, biodiversity and environmental sustainability. Importantly, they will be empowered to think critically and recognise the important role young people can play in protecting the future of the planet.

Ensemble Education Partnership

Two local Kirribilli institutions, Loreto Kirribilli and Ensemble Theatre, have established a reciprocal education partnership. This wonderful, enriching collaboration will deliver high-quality theatre experiences designed to inspire and support students and align with the Loreto Kirribilli curriculum. The program includes workshops and masterclasses, such as a recent playwrighting workshop with House Drama Captains, to support the creation of their plays for the House Drama Competition, delivered by playwright Hilary Bell. Next, a series of workshops with HSC Drama students was designed to support the development of their Group Performance works, delivered by director Janine Watson.

Over the winter break of 2026, Ensemble launched its Ensemble Youth Studio (EYS) program with a series of dynamic week-long workshops for K-Year 9 students. Because space is limited at the Ensemble Theatre, Loreto Kirribilli provided the space for these workshops. The workshops culminated in a special end-of-week performance on the Ensemble stage.

Royal Sydney Yacht Squadron Partnership

In partnership with the Royal Sydney Yacht Squadron (RSYS), Loreto Kirribilli is pleased to introduce sailing to the School sport program from Term 4, 2026. The program will broaden the sporting opportunities available to students and provide an inclusive pathway from a first experience on the water through to inter-school competition.

Sailing combines physical activity with leadership, teamwork, communication, judgement and responsibility in a changing outdoor environment. It is suitable for students with a wide range of abilities and experience and provides meaningful opportunities to build confidence, independence, resilience, practical problem-solving skills, water-safety knowledge and wellbeing.

The initial focus is a development-centred Learn to Sail and recreational sailing program. Qualified Australian Sailing instructors help students build skills, confidence and experience in a safe and supportive setting. Students will progress along a pathway to racing and regattas, including team racing and Elliott class racing.

Loreto Kirribilli is always on the lookout for new, innovative and interesting partnership programs. We believe in mutually beneficial and empowering partnerships that build the capacity of young women to know the future careers they can be involved in.

Companions in Learning with St Aloysius' College

Often regarded as our 'brother' school, our strong relationship with St Aloysius' College spans decades. Students benefit from shared learning opportunities, social events and reciprocal use of facilities.

Our Companions in Learning program formalises this longstanding relationship. With a foundation of common Catholic and educational values in the Ignatian tradition, Companions in Learning serves as a platform for the two schools to work together on extra-curricular experiences across four important pillars: Social Justice; Community Engagement; Respectful Relationships; and Academic Companionship.

Now in its fifth year, the program provides opportunities for the students to connect, collaborate and make new friends. Public Speaking contests, Year 6 Debating, Tech and STEM days, choir and orchestral performances, Careers Expos, social afternoons, the Year 12 Laudato Si' Debate and a disco for the Junior School are just some of the activities planned across each year.
