Loreto Kirribilli top-performing Catholic Girls’ School in 2023 HSC

Our Class of 2023 achieved outstanding results in the NSW Higher School Certificate, making Loreto Kirribilli the top-performing Catholic Girls’ School in New South Wales, placed 22nd in the state in the Sydney Morning Herald state rankings.

We congratulate our joint Duxes, Stella and Meckenzie, who both achieved an ATAR of 99.95.

Thirteen students were named on the NSW HSC All Round Achievers list with ten units or more with a Band 6 or E4 result. 5% of students achieved an ATAR of 99 and above, with 9% of students achieving an ATAR above 98, 27% of students achieving an ATAR above 95 and 52% of students achieving an ATAR above 90.

We also congratulate Stella who placed 2nd in Music Extension, achieving full marks for this course, following her 1st place in Music 2 in 2022, as an accelerant; Sophie, who achieved 10th place in Economics, and Year 11 Mathematics accelerant student, Sarah, who achieved a mark of 100% in Advanced Mathematics. Principal Mrs Anna Dickinson praised the Year 12 cohort for their exceptional dedication, hard work, and perseverance throughout their academic journey, culminating in outstanding results. “Their success is a testament to their commitment to excellence and their performance reflects a passion for learning and their ability to apply critical and creative thinking skills.”  

Mrs Dickinson congratulated the Class of 2023 for working collaboratively with each other and valuing the wisdom and expertise of their dedicated teachers. “Our students have demonstrated inspiring leadership, teamwork, and community service and engagement.

“The accomplishments of the Class of 2023 are a source of pride for the entire school community, and we are confident that they will continue to make significant contributions to society, as Mary Ward women.”

On the morning after the results were released, students returned to the School for a celebratory Morning Tea, where they were greeted by Mrs Dickinson and Senior teaching staff and congratulated for their outstanding efforts.
