Outstanding results for our Class of 2022

On Thursday 16 December, the 2022 NSW Higher School Certificate results were released to students and parents.

Our Class of 2022 achieved outstanding results in their Higher School Certificate, making Loreto Kirribilli the top-performing Catholic School in New South Wales, placed 12th in the state in the Sydney Morning Herald state rankings.

We congratulate our Dux, Lydia, who achieved an ATAR of 99.95. 10% of students achieved an ATAR of 99 and above, with 19% of students achieving an ATAR above 98, 35% of students achieving an ATAR above 95 and 62% of students achieving an ATAR above 90. Twenty two students were named on the NSW HSC All Round Achievers list with ten units or more with a Band 6 or E4 result.

We also congratulate Mia who achieved First in Course in Visual Arts and PDHPE; Sophia, First in Course in Korean Continuers, and Year 11 Music accelerant student, Stella, who achieved First in Course in Music 2. Read full details of our outstanding 2022 HSC results here.

Principal Mrs Anna Dickinson praised the Year 12 cohort for their determination, effort and spirit, as well as their growth mindset, and their unfailing support and care for each other. “The results also reflect the efforts of our remarkable teachers, who have supported, mentored and suitably challenged each and every student during her learning journey”, added Mrs Dickinson.

Mrs Dickinson also reflected on the Loreto tradition embedded in our school community, and the vision of our pioneering Loreto women. “In 1908, Mother Gonzaga Barry said, ‘What the world needs is wise, loving, well-educated women’. Centuries earlier, Mary Ward said, ‘women in time to come will do much’. That time is now!

“Our young women have demonstrated that this is no longer an aspiration, they are indeed ‘doing much’ and we congratulate them for their outstanding achievements. We wish them felicity as they continue to explore their wonderful lives beyond Loreto Kirribilli, knowing that they will be well supported by their connection to LK Connect, our networking and mentoring program for graduates.”
