Year 1 learn about our pioneering Loreto Sisters

The Junior School has been learning about our pioneering Loreto Sisters, who travelled across the oceans 150 years ago to set up schools for girls in Australia. The girls have heard about the trip from Ireland, and the many achievements of the leader of the expedition, Mother Gonzaga Barry. Students in Year 1 were practising their writing and spelling by composing some special prayers for those brave Loreto Sisters.
