Loreto Kirribilli Sets Sail

Loreto Kirribilli Sets Sail

Term 4 saw the launch of the Loreto Kirribilli Sailing Program, with the girls embracing this exciting new opportunity, enjoying their time on the water and beginning their sailing journey. The program is focused on a development-centred Learn to Sail and recreational sailing experience, providing students with the opportunity to develop their skills, build confidence and gain valuable on-water experience.

Guided by qualified Australian Sailing instructors, students will learn in a safe, supportive and engaging environment that encourages participation, teamwork and a love of sailing.

The Senior and Junior dedicated sailing programs will run across Term 4, 2026 and Term 1, 2027.

Designed as an introductory dinghy sailing pathway, the Junior School program will introduce students to the fundamentals of sailing, with a focus on water safety, boat handling, teamwork and building confidence on the water. It is an ideal opportunity for students to develop new skills, challenge themselves and discover the enjoyment of sailing.

The Senior School program will offer a dynamic, team-based sailing experience using Elliott 7 keelboats and Pacer dinghies. Students will develop their sailing ability while strengthening essential skills in communication, leadership, tactical decision-making and collaboration.

Through these experiences, students will have the opportunity to challenge themselves, work together and build confidence both on and off the water.
