2021 End of Year Awards Ceremony

2021 End of Year Awards Ceremony

Sustainability was the theme of this year’s Loreto Kirribilli 2021 Awards Ceremony, with special guest speaker Ann Austin (’85), Head of Sustainability for Lendlease in Australia, speaking about the role we can all play in a sustainable future.

The Senior School End of Year Awards Ceremony included include major community awards, acknowledging girls who have demonstrated extraordinary commitment, service and leadership, as well as awards for Academic Excellence and Achievement.

The Principal, Mrs Dickinson, also presented the Principal’s Awards for Learning Growth, which recognised students in each year group whose results over the year demonstrated the most gain in their learning.

In her address, Mrs Dickinson congratulated all our students, who were gathered in Year groups around the campus, on their resilient response to what has been a challenging year.

We were especially pleased to hear from ex-student Ann Austin ('85), who is Head of Sustainability at Lendlease, talk about change, and how to achieve it.

Ann has worked with the Lendlease group since 1992 in a variety of sustainability, project and people management roles, including as CEO of the Lend Lease Foundation, and General Manager of Organisational Development for Bovis Lend Lease.

Ann’s message was inspiring. “Don’t think you’re too young … you are powerful not in spite of your youth, but because of it. We need you to find your voice.”

“As Mary Ward told us, we have much to do.”
