Principal's Message

On Monday we celebrate the feast day of Australia’s first saint, St Mary of the Cross MacKillop. The website www.marymackillop.org.au provides not only much rich history of this special woman but some lovely reflective pieces.

A recent post reminded us that we are currently in the Year of Mercy and that if we are serious about following Jesus, mercy must be a way of life. It draws the link between St Mary MacKillop and our pope, stating that they both challenge us to be people of mercy.

Loreto Spring Fair

Momentum is building towards the Annual Spring Fair - now only 3 weeks away! Spring Fair is a wonderful opportunity for the entire school community and members of the local community to come together, experience and enjoy the spirit of Loreto Kirribilli. Fr Chris Gleeson will celebrate Mass in The Centenary Hall at 9am with the Spring Fair commencing immediately afterwards at 10am.

Debating

This week saw the last of the regular rounds of Archdale debating and Loreto were away at Pymble Ladies' College. The topic area was the rather complex issue of Government's Role In Society. Our year 7 and 8 teams debated the topic " That the government should make every Australian Citizen complete a fixed number of community service hours each year."
