The following is a message from the Northern Suburbs Netball Association Executive:
There have been several incidents of rudeness recently from various club and school team supporters (parents, friends, relatives) who insist on bringing dogs to the courts on Friday evenings and Saturdays. It needs to be emphasised that dogs are not allowed at the courts whilst the games are in progress. If someone insists on bringing a dog with them it should remain either on the grass area or in the car park.
Please note that this rule is applied for the safety of our players and umpires. There have been incidents of injury caused by dogs previously. Dogs have also been fouling the courts and their surrounds.
Please ensure that all of your members are aware of this rule. Should people persist in bringing dogs to the netball courts whilst games are ongoing, the Executive will take action which is likely to be that the team concerned (ie related to the particular supporter) is deemed to have forfeited that game.
