On Friday, 27 May, Loreto Kirribilli competed in the CGSSSA Cross Country races. With events ranging from 3km-6km, we had approximately 50 girls participating in races across the day. After weeks of cold, early morning sessions and strong commitments to training, we were set up for a very promising day.
Every individual aiming to succeed knows the mental strength and courage needed and so, the results reflected the outstanding effort all the girls put in. Winning the Junior, Intermediate, Senior and thus, overall point score was an outstanding achievement each individual played an imperative role in. Cross country is very much a team sport and one which girls support each other and race in, leaving everything out on the course. CGSSSA proved exactly this and a big congratulations to everyone for all their hard work and commitment! We would also like to thank all the parents and supporters for supporting the program, getting the girls to all the early morning training sessions and carnivals. We look forward to some more success when the following girls represent Loreto and CGSSSA at the NSWCCC XC championships, Eastern Creek on 17 June.
