On Friday, 20 May, 39 eager Bronze Duke of Edinburgh participants embarked on the first part of their Adventurous Journey their training day.
The planning was meticulous in an attempt to gain all the necessary knowledge that is required in order to canoe on the 16 and 17 July when we paddle for our Practice Duke of Edinburgh Journey.
Challenging each other to enhance our navigational skills, ability to pack a small bag and start thinking about what food to cook, were only some of the many aspects that were considered. In keeping with the philosophy behind the Duke of Edinburgh program, all the participants are committed to improving their skills and embarking on new adventures which was evident in their excitement during the training day.
Stay tuned for the exciting adventures of the 2016 LK Bronze Duke of Edinburgh participants!
