Theatresports workshops are offered to students in Years 8 -11 on Wednesday mornings from 7:30am-8:20am in the Annexe.
Theatresports involves teams of actor/players competing in improvisation challenges. There are a number of games that can be played and the workshops being offered will cover both the skills of these games and techniques for winning!
While there is a competitive aspect to Theatresports, there are many other important skills that students can learn through participating in these workshops. These include the ability to think quickly and creatively, to work collaboratively, to build and sustain character, confidence and skills in narrative. These workshops also have a wonderful positive benefit on the well being of students due to the enormous amount of fun they have in these sessions.
The cost is $60.00 per term and will be billed on school accounts. Students only need to commit to one term at a time. Classes are capped at 20 students and the first twenty applications we receive take priority in terms of places.
If you are interested in joining these classes, please download the application form on CH@LK and complete the details. The form should then be emailed or handed to Ms Cooper or the Circle Teacher.
If you have any further questions, please contact Ms Gillian Cooper by email.
