Loreto Kirribilli hosted one of the quarter final rounds of the Archdale Debating competition on Tuesday 23 August. It was a busy evening with eight debates. Our 7A team of Alessia Rupolo, Sophie Bateman, Bridget Currie, Sarah Munstermann and Harper Grace debated the topic That we should ban testing on animals. They lost to a strong Kambala team who have progressed to the Grand Final that will be held at SCEGGS Darlinghurst on Tuesday 6 September. Our girls are to be congratulated on having such a successful season. They have trained hard and performed very well in their debates.
The Friday afternoon debating workshops are underway and I would like to thank all of the girls who have made the effort to come along. We have had a great turn out and hopefully this extra preparation will help our teams have successful 2017 seasons whilst also teaching less experienced debaters about how to prepare and speak in debates.
