Loreto Kirribilli attempts to provide students and teachers with a variety of opportunities in the area of ICT. All staff members have access to laptops and desktops, with internet connections to their personal workstations. A number of areas in the school including the three computer labs, senior and junior libraries, and the music lab are available for student use, and are booked by staff with the aim to integrate ICT into every curriculum area. Students have also recently welcomed the addition of wireless networked areas of the school, with classroom laptops that accompany this technology. The college aims to provide ICT opportunities to students K-12 and in every curriculum area, as per current syllabus requirements, in a safe and secure networked environment. It is envisaged that the integration of ICT will promote independent learning, enhance good teaching practices, and prepare students for an increasingly connected digital world beyond their time at the school. A full list of ICT skills K-10 can be found at the Board of Studies. |
